I used to love 'SNME' in the good old days. It will not feel as important now though, as back then there was only 4 PPV's, so it was like having a bonus PPV everytime it was on. Now, while it will still have a PPV feel - especially the main event - the emergence of 'Raw' & 'Smackdown' (rather than the old days of something like 'Wrestling Challenge' where a superstar merely destroyed a jobber) mean that seeing top stars go at it is now available weekly, so it means less.
Still, I am very much looking forward to it, and I think it will help build up the storylines on the 'Road To Wrestlemania'. To be honest, that is how I would used SNME now - 4 times a year, on the road to the big 4 PPV's of WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and SummerSlam.
It is also good new - in my opinion - that Jim Ross will be commentating this evening. I have no idea if WWE plans on making this a permanent move with him, in as much as he will only commentate on PPV's? That could actually be an interesting idea, and I look forward to seeing what WWE plan on doing with this.
